The Sarah Schmitt Scholarship was established in 2004 by the Emergency Department physicians at Appleton Medical Center in memory of Sarah who died an untimely death in July of 2004. Sarah was employed as a clinical technician at Appleton Medical Center’s Emergency Department and was attending school part-time to become an RN.
The AMC Foundation and the Emergency Department physicians at Appleton Medical Center wish to offer a scholarship to those with similar aspirations and goals. This scholarship is specifically for continuing education to become an RN, BSN or nurse practitioner and is limited to Appleton Medical Center Emergency Department staff and their dependants. In memory of Sarah, we hope this Scholarship Fund will help others achieve their nursing professional goals.
